The Internet is a jungle. Plodding through it takes time and energy and nothing is more maddening that you forgot one particular page you had found after hours of browsing.

The Internet history keeps track of your footprints but sometimes it can be erased by your mistake, a glitch or another user’s actions. It can happen both at home and at the workplace.

There are many ways to restore your Internet history.

Two factors that are vital to determine how much and how fast you can restore your Internet history are your operating system and how long back the files were deleted.

A good trick to completely do away with any risk is to always email an important file to yourself while you’re working on it.
The Tools menu in the Internet Explore task bar unfolds to show you the Internet Options tab. Through this tab you go to the General tab where there is an option to allow you to restore deleted cookies etc and the number of days for which you would like to restore your Internet history.

You can also use the Search & Find option from the main Help menu or your control panel to look for a particular page. Of course if this sounds too geeky, fetch a computer engineer.

Internet history is kept on the C drive in a temporary folder. You can search there as well.
