New Google Toolbar brings desktop search facility
Google’s new version toolbar for IE is not dependent on the browser anymore. It’s a new feature - a search box - that finds its place next to the Start button and starts running irrespective of whether you have a browser open or not.
As a result, searching the Web or the favorite bookmarks becomes an easier task; so does searching files or applications that are in your PC.
It is an approach that’s inclined more towards marketing. With the new Google toolbar, searching has become an easier task and people shall be less likely to use another search engine for which, they have to open a browser. Apart from increasing the popularity of Goofle, it’s also going to help the company to serve up more number of ads than it used to be through toolbar searches.
The new toolbar also scores on other new features; it keeps note of recently visited pages, bookmarks the start page and a synchronization service that allows accessing Google bookmarks and filling online forms automatically gathering data from multiple computers within the same network. So turn off that quick search box; it’s the time for Google's desktop search program.
